At our practice in the centre of Darmstadt, along with our specialisation in implantology, we also offer a wide range of treatment services within the fields of mouth, jaw, facial and oral surgery. Here we place particular importance on pain-free and stress-free treatment, therapies that are gentle on tissue, sensitive care and modern equipment – in this way, we can carry out treatment that is often gentler, more pleasant for you and more efficient.
Expertise counts
Mouth, jaw and facial surgeons (Dr. Dr. Christoph Malik) acquire their special level of qualification by completing two degrees. They study both medicine and dentistry. This is then followed by at least five years of training as a specialist doctor in a specialist clinic. Oral surgeons (Dr. Julia Malik), after their dentistry degree, have completed at least three years of full-time further training at approved training centres.
Treatment
General anaesthetic and sedation
At our practice, we can carry out operations under local anaesthetic, analgo-sedation (twilight anaesthetic) and general anaesthetic. For this, we have our own operating theatre and work closely with an experienced anaesthetist who specialises in facial operations and who comes into the practice for the treatment procedure.
Full mouth restoration: For very anxious patients or for children unwilling to have treatment, we offer full mouth restorations, conservation treatment and surgery under general anaesthetic.
We work with ultrasonic surgery: for procedures that are as non-invasive and as gentle on tissue as possible
